Sunderland defender Michael Turner is reportedly undergoing a medical with fellow Premier League club Norwich City.
It is believed that new Norwich boss Chris Hughton made signing a defender one of his main transfer priorities when he took over the club last month.
The Canaries had been heavily linked with Curtis Davies, who currently plays for Hughton's former club Birmingham City. However, Hughton's replacement Lee Clark has since insisted that Davies is not for sale.
As a result, it appears that Hughton has turned his attention to Turner, who is currently at Carrow Road for medical checks, according to Sky Sports News.
The 28-year-old joined the Black Cats from Hull City in 2009.
