Paul Reid leaves Northampton Town

Paul Reid leaves Northampton Town following the expiration of his contract at Sixfields.

Paul Reid has left Northampton Town after his contract at Sixfields ran out.

The 31-year-old returned for a second spell with the Cobblers in September, over 10 years since his first appearance for the club, and made 16 League Two starts for the struggling club this season.

However, new Northampton manager Chris Wilder has now let the defender go following his appointment yesterday.

The Cobblers are currently bottom of the Football League, six points adrift of safety in the fourth tier.

Their home match against Rochdale tonight has been postponed postponed.
