Half-Time Report: Mathias Kouo-Doumbe heads Northampton Town in front against Hartlepool United

Mathias Kouo-Doumbe's first goal for Northampton Town gives League Two's bottom side a 1-0 half-time lead over Hartlepool United.

Mathias Kouo-Doumbe's first goal for Northampton Town has given League Two's bottom side a 1-0 half-time lead over Hartlepool United.

The 34-year-old broke the deadlock in the final seconds of a scrappy first half at Sixfields.

He headed home at the far post in the sixth minute of stoppage time.

There was so much time added on because Hartlepool defender Michael Duckworth had earlier left the field on a stretcher.

Prior to today, Hartlepool had not won in their last 24 visits to Northampton, while the Cobblers were without a home victory since November.
