Nigeria book World Cup spot

Nigeria reach next year's World Cup in Brazil with a 4-1 aggregate victory over Ethiopia.

Nigeria have booked their place at next year's World Cup with a 4-1 aggregate victory in their qualifying playoff against Ethiopia.

The Super Eagles went into the second leg with a 2-1 lead and sealed their progress thanks to a comfortable 2-0 triumph in Calabar.

Victor Moses opened the scoring for the Nigerians midway through the first half, while Victor Obinna added a second late on.

Nigeria qualified for the last World Cup in South Africa, but they failed to get beyond the group stage.
