Fulham CEO Alistair Mackintosh hails Rene Meulensteen

Fulham CEO Alistair Mackintosh says that he is delighted with the appointment of Rene Meulensteen as the club's head coach.

Fulham CEO Alistair Mackintosh believes that Rene Meulensteen is one of the best coaches in the world.

The 49-year-old Dutchman, who worked with Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United until the summer, has been appointed as the London club's head coach and will work under manager Martin Jol.

"We are all delighted to welcome Rene to Fulham," London24 quotes Mackintosh as saying.

"There was always going to be a battle for Rene's services and, with the assistance of our chairman Shahid Khan, we have been able to bring one of the best coaches in the world to Fulham."

Fulham are currently third from bottom in the league table with 10 points from 11 matches.
