Aleksandar Mitrovic is reportedly keen on a return to Anderlecht in the January transfer window.
Newcastle United paid Anderlecht £13m to sign the 23-year-old during the summer of 2015, and he scored nine Premier League goals during his first season with the club.
Mitrovic only managed four Championship goals last season, however, and has not started a single Premier League match for the Magpies this term despite the team's struggles in the final third of the field.
A number of clubs have been credited with an interest, but according to Nieuws Blad, Mitrovic wants to secure a return to Anderlecht, where he scored 44 times in 90 appearances before moving to England.
Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez is understood to be unwilling to sell Mitrovic unless a replacement is secured.
