Saturday's Serie A predictions including Sampdoria vs. Genoa

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Serie A fixtures, including Sampdoria vs. Genoa.

Cagliari vs. Hellas Verona (Saturday, 2.00pm)

Still fighting for their Serie A survival, 17th-placed Cagliari welcome Hellas Verona to Sardinia on Saturday afternoon in desperate need of points.

Following their late loss in a six-pointer with Genoa last week, the Rossoblu have been beaten in six of their last seven games; while Verona sit comfortably in mid-table and are seeking a top-half finish.

We say: Cagliari 1-2 Hellas Verona

Having scored just three times in their last seven matches, it is clear where the fault for Cagliari's decline lies, and a misfiring front line could cost them again versus carefree Verona.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Napoli vs. Sassuolo (Saturday, 2.00pm)

With their Scudetto hopes essentially ended by a late collapse last week, Napoli will aim to restore some pride on Saturday, when they host Sassuolo at Stadio Maradona.

Squandering a two-goal lead in the final 10 minutes saw the Partenopei's dreams of ending a 32-year wait for Serie A supremacy shattered at Empoli, while their visitors were also beaten by a late goal last time out.

We say: Napoli 2-2 Sassuolo

Such a stronghold last term, Napoli have already lost eight games this season at the Maradona in all competitions - five of them in the league - so are certainly vulnerable to an adventurous away side with nothing to lose.

Sassuolo can push their hosts all the way with an attacking lineup the envy of much bigger clubs, but Spalletti's men are not finished yet and can at least take a point in their pursuit of taking third place ahead of Juventus.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Sampdoria vs. Genoa (Saturday, 5.00pm)

With both sides at real risk of relegation next month, Saturday evening's Derby della Lanterna could prove decisive in the fate of both Sampdoria and arch-rivals Genoa.

Separated by five points in the Serie A standings - with Samp holding the upper hand - victory for the Grifone could pull their old foes back into the thick of the survival scrap, with time running out to preserve their top-flight status.

We say: Sampdoria 1-1 Genoa

A close one to call, as neither side have been able to find the net regularly in recent weeks, so desperate Genoa can add yet another draw to their substantial total thanks to their newfound industry under Blessin.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Spezia vs. Lazio (Saturday, 7.45pm)

Still in the thick of a battle for European qualification, Lazio travel to mid-table Spezia on Saturday evening seeking a fourth win from four against them in Serie A.

Beaten by Milan's late goal last weekend, Maurizio Sarri's side have taken just a point from their last two matches and are clinging onto sixth place in the standings, while their hosts have all but secured their stay in the top flight.

We say: Spezia 1-3 Lazio

Along with Sampdoria, one of two teams not to have drawn any Serie A home matches in 2022, Spezia would surely take a point on this occasion.

However, Lazio have other ideas, and a powerful mixture of determination to bounce back from the Milan loss and their greater need for the points will ensure they go in all guns blazing on Saturday night.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
