Kei Kamara has ended his one-year spell at Middlesbrough after leaving the club by mutual consent.
The 29-year-old, who joined from Sporting Kansas City last September, has not featured for Aitor Karanka's side this season, and both parties have agreed to cancel his contract.
Kamara's exit is believed to be partly due to the expected arrival of Patrick Bamford, who is likely to join the club on loan from Chelsea over the next couple of days.
"The club would like to thank Kei for his efforts over the last 12 months and wish him every success in his future career," a club statement revealed on Thursday.
Kamara managed to score just four goals in his 25 appearances for the club.
