Middlesbrough have finalised the signing of Jordan Rhodes from Blackburn Rovers.
The completion has brought an end to a whirlwind 24 hours for the 25-year-old, who it appeared would be a Blackburn player until the summer at least when talks with Boro broke down yesterday evening.
However, reports this evening claimed that the deal had been resuscitated and soon after pictures emerged of Rhodes at Boro's Rockcliffe Hill training ground.
The Championship high-flyers have now confirmed that a deal has been reached, with the Scotland international having agreed a four-and-a-half-year contract at the Riverside Stadium.
The fee is officially undisclosed, but recent speculation has suggested that Boro have agreed to pay around £9m.
Rhodes joined Rovers from Huddersfield Town in 2012 and he went on to score 85 goals in 169 appearances for the Ewood Park-based outfit.
