Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has hinted that he will not be bringing in any new faces during the January transfer window.
The Red Devils have been heavily criticised for their style of play this season, particularly going forward where the club's attacking players have failed to make an impact.
United have been linked with the likes of Gareth Bale, Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku in recent weeks, but Van Gaal admits that he is not expecting to do any business this month.
"I don't think it's very wise to purchase players in January," he told BT Sport.
"When it is possible and we think he can give us a contribution of our level then of course we shall do it. But normally we don't do that. We didn't also last year, I believe."
United have now won two matches in a row following an eight-game winless run.
