Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly entered the race to sign Juventus defender Merih Demiral in the January transfer window.
Despite moving to Turin over the summer, the 21-year-old is considering leaving the club next month having only made one Serie A appearance so far this term.
Reports have suggested that Manchester United and Arsenal are in a battle to secure Demiral's signature.
According to The Sun, Jose Mourinho could make the player his first signing as Spurs boss after the club made contact with the player's agent.
Spurs could be in need of defensive reinforcements should Toby Alderweireld decide to run down his current contract and leave for free next summer.
Demiral is said to be available to buy at around £15m next month, with Juventus open to a transfer in order to free up funds for Paul Pogba.
