Manchester United are reportedly ready to pounce for Sami Khedira should he have his Juventus contract terminated.
The Germany international is not part of new boss Andrea Pirlo's plans and is one of six central midfielders on the club's payroll.
According to Goal, Juve are considering ripping up Khedira's contract a year early to get his wages off their books.
Man United are said to be among the sides weighing up a move for the 33-year-old, who boasts a wealth of experience.
Khedira has won 17 major trophies, including the World Cup in 2014, during a career that has seen him represent Stuttgart, Real Madrid and Juventus at club level.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have already made one central midfield addition this summer, bringing in Donny van de Beek from Ajax for a fee rising to £39m.
