Barcelona striker Luis Suarez reportedly arrived in Perugia on Thursday to undergo an Italian exam ahead of completing a move to Juventus.
The Uruguayan has been targeted by Andrea Pirlo to lead Juve's line this coming season after being given the green light to exit Camp Nou.
However, as part of the lengthy Italian passport process, Suarez must first pass a language test if he is to be granted the relevant paperwork to finalise a switch.
Sky Sports News claims that the 33-year-old has now sat the exam and is waiting for his results.
Speaking earlier this week, Barca boss Ronald Koeman insisted that Suarez will not be frozen out should his proposed transfer to Juve break down.
Chelsea's Olivier Giroud and Edin Dzeko of Roma are considered back-up options by Pirlo if Suarez is not granted a passport.
