Paul Pogba deal 'will not be finalised today'

The deal to take Paul Pogba from Juventus to Manchester United for a world-record fee will reportedly not be completed until the weekend.

The deal to take Paul Pogba from Juventus to Manchester United will not be completed today, according to reports.

All parties are understood to be in the final stages of negotiations over a world-record move for the 23-year-old which could cost United up to £100m.

The deal recently stalled due to disagreements over who should pay the €20m (£16.8m) fee to Pogba's agent Mino Raiola, although reports yesterday suggested that they had overcome that hurdle.

Respected Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano now reports that the clubs are ready to sign the paperwork and agreements, but that it may take until tomorrow to do so.

However, official confirmation of the record-breaking switch is expected in the coming days as Pogba closes in on a return to the club he left on a free transfer just four years ago.

The France international will become United's fourth summer signing after Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
