Barcelona have reportedly been informed that they must make a decision over whether to make an approach for Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil within the next two weeks.
The Catalan giants are allegedly one of a number of clubs interested in signing Ozil, who has just over six months remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium.
The German international appears to willing to consider his options but according to Mundo Deportivo, the 29-year-old wants Barca to signal their intent before the end of 2017.
In January, Ozil will be able to discuss terms with clubs outside of the Premier League, with Manchester United not able to hold free discussions with the player until the summer unless they receive permission from Arsenal.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has suggested that the North London outfit are still in talks with the playmaker, who remains a key part of his starting lineup.
This season, Ozil has contributed two goals and five assists in 13 top-flight appearances.
