Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta says that the Italian giants cannot afford to sign either Paul Pogba or Alvaro Morata due to their current market value.

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta has suggested that the Italian giants cannot afford either Paul Pogba or Alvaro Morata.

Pogba and Morata have both enjoyed successful spells in Turin with the pair having played their part in Serie A title wins, but their futures at Manchester United and Chelsea currently appear to be uncertain.

However, Marotta has indicated that both players are currently out of Juventus's reach due to their current value in the transfer market.

Marotta told Mediaset: "I don't really believe in players coming back after having gone away, but there are also exceptions.

"They are two great professionals who left excellent memories, but the market value that they have reached is a mirage for us."

United will expect in the region of £100m for Pogba should he be allowed to leave Old Trafford, while Chelsea are likely to be unwilling to take a loss on the £65m which they spent on Morata last summer.
