Manchester United are reportedly keeping close tabs on the situation of Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes ahead of a possible summer bid.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made signing a new centre-back one of United's priorities for the summer transfer window as he looks for someone to partner the world's most expensive defender, Harry Maguire.
Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly has regularly been touted as their top target in that area of the pitch, but the Daily Record reports that United now view Gabriel as a much cheaper alternative.
The 22-year-old Brazilian is also wanted by Everton, Inter Milan and Napoli - the latter of whom have identified him as a possible replacement for Koulibaly.
United have reportedly asked to be kept informed of any offers for Gabriel, who is expected to command a fee in excess of €25m (£22.8m).
Gabriel has made 34 appearances for Lille across all competitions this season.
