A number of Manchester United players allegedly feel misled about the amount of games that they expected to play this season.

Several of the Manchester United first-team squad allegedly feel misled by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

At a time when United have lost six of their last 12 matches in all competitions, speculation persists regarding the long-term future of the Norwegian.

A constant topic of debate is the lack of game time given to several members of the group, including the likes of Donny van de Beek, Jesse Lingard and Jadon Sancho.

While those names are not specifically mentioned in a report by ESPN, a number of unnamed players reportedly feel let down by their boss after being reassured in the summer that they would feature on a more regular basis.

Frustration is said to have grown behind the scenes with Solskjaer having only changed the team's system, rather than personnel.

As United prepare to face Watford in the Premier League at the weekend, Van de Beek and Lingard continue to be linked with a departure from Old Trafford.
