Manchester United make a £70m bid for Leicester City's Harry Maguire, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly made a £70m bid for Leicester City's Harry Maguire.

United are believed to be in the market for a new central defender this summer and the Red Devils have been linked with a swoop for Maguire on a number of occasions over the last 12 months.

Manchester City were thought to lead the race for the 26-year-old, but according to BBC Sport, United have now launched a £70m offer for the England international.

The same report, however, claims that Leicester are expected to reject the bid as it falls short of their valuation.

Maguire, who only signed a new five-year contract with the Foxes last September, has scored five times in 76 appearances for the Foxes.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have already completed deals for Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
