Manchester United have reportedly blocked Dean Henderson's proposed loan move to Watford on deadline day.
The 24-year-old has expressed his desire for game time in January, with the likes of Ajax and Newcastle United linked with a loan swoop before Watford approached late in the window to bolster their goalkeeping options.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils have now blocked the move, with Ralf Rangnick keen to keep the Englishman in his squad for the second half of the Premier League campaign.
Such an advancement comes after the Manchester club denied midfielder Jesse Lingard a loan exit amid links to Newcastle and West Ham United.
After jostling with David De Gea for the starting spot between the sticks at Old Trafford last season, Henderson has made just two appearances for the Red Devils this term, with the Spaniard being preferred for every Premier League game thus far.
