Hugo Lloris plays down Manchester United talk

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris cools speculation linking him with a summer move to Manchester United.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has played down speculation linking him with Manchester United.

The Red Devils are understood to be lining up the Frenchman as a possible replacement for David de Gea, who could be on his way to Real Madrid this summer.

However, the 28-year-old shotstopper has distanced himself from the rumours.

"You're getting ahead of yourselves," he told Telefoot. "For the moment, there is a keeper in place at Manchester United. Keep a cool head over it."

Lloris, who has won 65 caps for France, joined Spurs from Lyon in 2012.
