Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly made Fiorentina frontman Giuseppe Rossi one of his main January transfer targets.
The Italian striker had a spell with Liverpool's main rivals Manchester United during the mid-2000s, for whom he scored four goals in 14 appearances.
Nevertheless, Rossi's links with the Red Devils has not perturbed Klopp, who is an admirer of the 28-year-old, according to Ita Sport Press.
The report adds that despite not being a regular member of Paulo Sousa's starting lineup at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, Fiorentina are still likely to demand around £18m for the centre-forward.
Rossi joined La Viola from Villarreal in 2013, but injuries have limited him to just 36 appearances in all competitions.
