Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani is reportedly preparing to return to South America next summer when his contract at Old Trafford expires.
The 34-year-old has proved to be a successful signing by the Red Devils, scoring 18 times in 47 appearances for the club since arriving on a free transfer in October 2020.
Cavani had initially been due to leave Man United earlier this year but ultimately signed an extension to keep him with the 20-time English champions until next June.
According to ESPN Brasil, a number of South American clubs are lining up moves for the Uruguay international, who wants to be closer to his home country.
The report claims that Brazilian clubs Corinthians and Flamengo are interested in his signature, while Argentine outfit Boca Juniors are also believed to be in the mix.
Cavani impressed in Man United's 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League last weekend but has seemingly emerged as a doubt for Saturday's Manchester derby with Manchester City.
