Eden Hazard has rejected the offer of a new contract from Chelsea, according to his father Thierry.
The 26-year-old is regarded as the club's star man and since moving to Stamford Bridge in 2012, has scored 80 goals in 274 appearances in all competitions.
However, Hazard has recently been linked with moves to either Manchester United or Real Madrid, who are aware that the Belgian international has just two and a half years remaining on his existing deal.
Chelsea are attempting to extend the playmaker's stay in West London, but it appears that the club's efforts have, so far, been unsuccessful.
Father Thierry told Le Soir: "He has rejected a contract offer, but there's no contact with Real."
While Chelsea will not contemplate any sale midway through the season, Real are expected to up their interest during the summer providing that Hazard does not pen fresh terms with the Blues.
