Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Inter Milan are not interested in signing Alexis Sanchez on a permanent deal during this summer's transfer window.
The Chile international has spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at San Siro from Manchester United but has found it difficult to make his mark, scoring just once in 15 appearances.
Di Marzio has said that the 31-year-old will return to United this summer, although Roma could attempt to bring him back to Italy for next season.
"The only certain thing is that Inter Milan does not want Alexis Sanchez to stay again, so they will not buy him permanently," Di Marzio told Sky Sports News.
"At the end of the loan, Sanchez will go back to Manchester United and I don't know whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to have him in the team or will allow him to speak to other clubs. Roma wanted to sign Sanchez last summer, so they may go back in for him."
The South American, who has only scored five times in 45 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions, has a contract at Old Trafford until June 2022.
