Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen has said that he expects to remain with the Dutch side rather than join Manchester United.
The Netherlands international has been linked with a move to United, where he would join up again with former national team boss Louis van Gaal.
The 26-year-old has been touted as a replacement for United's David de Gea, but Cillessen has played down suggestions that he will move to Old Trafford.
"As far as I know it has never been a thing," he told NOS.
"I, the club, or my agent have never heard anything. As for me, this season begins and ends at Ajax."
Cillessen was Van Gaal's first-choice stopper at the World Cup last year.
