Emre Can has reportedly turned down the opportunity to join Manchester United this January because he does not want to play for the rivals of his former club Liverpool.
Can joined Liverpool in 2014 and made 166 appearances before leaving for Juventus on a free transfer at the start of last season.
According to the Daily Mirror, Can has turned down a move to United, with the Old Trafford club thought to be interested in bringing him to Manchester this month.
The report adds that Juventus will listen to bids of around £25m for Can, with Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich all potentially interested.
Can has not made the impact he would have hoped in Turin and has made just eight appearances for the Serie A champions this season.
Manchester United are said to be looking for a central midfielder after both Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay picked up injuries, with Nemanja Matic also linked to Inter Milan.
