Rumoured Man United target Gareth Bale "happy" at Real Madrid "at the moment"

Gareth Bale says that he is "happy at the moment" at Real Madrid amid reports that Manchester United are determined to sign him.

Gareth Bale has admitted that he is "happy" at Real Madrid, but has claimed that "you can never predict" what will happen in the future amid reports that Manchester United want to sign him.

The Red Devils have been linked with the Wales international for some time following reports that the player has struggled to settle into life in Spain since his £85m transfer to the Bernabeu from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013.

United are rumoured to be considering a big-money move for Bale, but the 26-year-old has confirmed that he intends to remain with the Spanish giants this month.

"I'm happy at the moment," The Telegraph quotes Bale as saying. "You can never predict what happens in the future, but I'm enjoying my football at the moment so I'll keep going."

Bale was thought to be considering his future after Rafael Benitez was sacked as manager last week.

However, the Welshman, who scored three in a 5-0 rout over Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday, has since claimed that he will give "100%" for new coach Zinedine Zidane.
