Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio is reportedly hoping to stay with the club this summer despite interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.
The 26-year-old's future at the Santiago Bernabeu has been questioned in recent weeks, as he will soon be entering the final year of his contract.
Arsenal are understood to have registered their interest in Asensio, while one report claims that Man United have held talks with the Spaniard's agent Jorge Mendes over a proposed switch to Old Trafford.
However, Marca claims that Asensio's priority is to remain at Real Madrid and he is willing to open talks with the club over extending his contract.
The report adds that Asensio believes he deserves a new deal and a wage rise after proving his worth to the club under Carlo Ancelotti last season, scoring 12 goals and registering two assists in 42 appearances across all competitions.
It is thought, however, that Real Madrid will consider selling Asensio, who has also been linked with AC Milan, for around €40m this summer if they fail to agree terms with the winger over a new deal.
