Arsenal could reportedly reignite their interest in Inter Milan centre-forward Lautaro Martinez during next summer's transfer window.
The 24-year-old has again been in impressive form for his Italian club during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring eight times in 14 Serie A appearances, although he is yet to register in six Champions League outings this term.
Martinez was linked with a move away from the Italian champions over the summer but stayed at San Siro and ultimately signed a new long-term contract at the end of October.
The Argentina international's future remains the subject of much speculation, though, and Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has suggested that Arsenal could make another move for the forward next summer.
"Arsenal's plan, from what I'm told, is to sign an important striker in the coming months. Let's see if it'll be January or the summer," Romano said on his Here We Go Podcast. "They were interested in Lautaro Martinez but Inter said: 'no, wait until the summer'."
Martinez, who has also been linked with Barcelona, Manchester United and Manchester City, has scored 57 goals and registered 22 assists in 152 appearances for Inter since arriving from Racing Club in July 2018.
