Al-Nassr president Musli Al-Muammar has played down reports suggesting that Cristiano Ronaldo is on the verge of joining the Saudi Arabian side.
The Portugal international is currently a free agent after Manchester United terminated his contract in November following an interview with Piers Morgan, where he criticised various aspects of the club.
A recent report suggested that Ronaldo was closing in on signing a seven-year deal with Al-Nassr, while CBS Sports claimed that the Saudi Arabian giants had scheduled a medical.
However, Al-Nassr's president attempted to play down the speculation when he spoke to the media following the club's 2-2 against Al-Hilal on Monday.
Al-Muammar told reporters: "[Reports on] Ronaldo are not right and most of what has been written and said in the media is a lie."
Meanwhile, Al-Nassr's sporting director Marcelo Salazar refused to rule out a move for the 37-year-old, while it was previously suggested that the Saudi Arabian government are prepared to back a potential deal.
