Ajax are reportedly prepared to demand in the region of £115m for Lisandro Martinez and Antony, who have both been linked with Manchester United.

Ajax are reportedly prepared to hold their ground when it comes to the futures of Lisandro Martinez and Antony.

The pair have both been linked with an exit from the Eredivisie champions in recent weeks at a time when the Dutch giants are starting a new era under Alfred Schreuder.

Manchester United have naturally been linked with a bid for both players having recently tempted Erik ten Hag to leave Ajax for Old Trafford.

Furthermore, Arsenal are allegedly pushing to get a deal over the line for Martinez, the Gunners said to have already failed with one formal bid.

However, according to The Sun, Ajax are said to currently have no intention of settling for a compromise when it comes to the valuations of their two players.

In the case of Martinez, Ajax want to receive as much as £45m, almost double what Arsenal reportedly offered in their opening proposal earlier in the month.

As it stands, it is unclear whether United have followed suit and make an official bid for the Argentina international, who is capable of playing at centre-back and in defensive midfield.

Ajax are also prepared to demand £70m for Antony, a player who contributed eight goals and four assists from 23 Eredivisie outings during 2021-22.

A previous report has claimed that the representatives of the 22-year-old are pushing for a switch to Old Trafford, although much could depend on whether United are able to generate transfer funds from player sales.

Both players have three years remaining on their contracts at Ajax, something which will not help either Arsenal or United in their respective pursuits.

The report adds that club officials feel that they are in a strong-enough financial position to fend off any interest in the pair during the current window.

Ryan Gravenberch has recently left to link up with Bayern Munich for a fee which could reach €23m (£19.8m) if all add-ons are activated.

Several other players, including goalkeeper Andre Onana and defender Noussair Mazraoui, have also departed on free transfers, freeing up space on the wage bill in the process.

However, Ajax are yet to make any first-team additions ahead of 2022-23 as they prepare to try to defend the top-flight crown.
