Team News: Wayne Rooney starts for Manchester United

Wayne Rooney returns to the Manchester United starting lineup against Crystal Palace in this afternoon's early Premier League match.

Wayne Rooney has returned to the Manchester United side for the first time since suffering a cut to the head in training last month, while new signing Marouane Fellaini is named on the bench.

David Moyes has made three other changes from the side that were defeated by Liverpool last time out with Fabio da Silva, Antonio Valencia and Anderson all starting.

Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway makes one change from the side that beat Sunderland in their last game, with defender Adrian Mariappa replacing Joel Ward.

New signings Jimmy Kebe, Cameron Jerome, Adlene Guedioura and Barry Bannan are named on the bench.
