Wilfried Zaha names former Crystal Palace teammate and Manchester United full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka as the toughest opponent he has faced in training.

Wilfried Zaha has said that he is pleased to see former Crystal Palace teammate Aaron Wan-Bissaka get wider recognition since his move to Manchester United.

The 22-year-old full-back swapped Selhurst Park for Old Trafford in a £50m deal last summer following a breakthrough campaign for the Eagles which saw him make 35 Premier League appearances in 2018-19.

Wan-Bissaka has since added to his reputation as a formidable defender in one-on-one situations, and Zaha admitted that the United man was always his toughest opponent.

When asked during an Instagram Q&A which player was the hardest to play against in training, Zaha said: "Aaron. He is very good, so hard to get past him.

"Have I watched him at United? I've watched a few games, what I thought of him is what I thought before. Everything that people are saying now - calling him 'The Spider' - we knew before, it is just that he is playing in front of the world now.

"We were saying it all before but it is nice to see the world know it now."

Wan-Bissaka has started 26 of United's 29 Premier League games this season, but is yet to earn a full international cap for England.
