Peter Schmeichel questions commitment of some Manchester United players

Peter Schmeichel believes that there are a few first-team players at Manchester United who are not showing enough commitment.

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel believes that manager David Moyes should consider offloading some of his first-team stars who are not showing enough commitment.

The North-West outfit have lost three games in a row, one of which resulted in them getting booted out of the FA Cup at the third-round stage.

"There are a few in the dressing room that are not taking the responsibility of being a Manchester United player as seriously as I would like it," BBC Sport quotes Schmeichel as saying.

"I find that a big shame. There are a few players there that haven't been performing this year or the year before and I think at some point the manager needs to make a decision - whether to keep them or not keep them, and then maybe bring some younger players in instead to make some kind of statement."

United are currently seventh in the Premier League table.
