Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly refused to comment on reports that the club have made an approach for Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese coach, who has been out of work since getting sacked by Chelsea in December, has been heavily linked with the manager's job at Manchester United.
Louis van Gaal remains in charge at Old Trafford, but there have been widespread reports that the Dutchman will be sacked in the summer following an inconsistent season on the pitch.
It was reported earlier this week that PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi has made an approach to Mourinho, but the 53-year-old is believed to have turned the French champions down because he is confident of getting the United job.
In relation to PSG's reported approach, Reuters contacted the Ligue 1 club but they refused to comment on the speculation.
Laurent Blanc is currently in charge of the French club, but there are doubts over his future after they were knocked out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage.
