Manchester United's Phil Neville expects "fantastic" battle against Liverpool

Phil Neville believes that Manchester United can grab all three points in this Sunday's fierce encounter against arch rivals Liverpool.

Manchester United first-team coach Phil Neville has insisted that every player will be relishing this Sunday's Premier League clash against fierce rivals Liverpool.

The Red Devils, who reside sixth in the table, are currently 11 points behind second-placed Liverpool.

Despite a large gap between the opponents, Neville is confident that his side can respond to their earlier 1-0 defeat at Anfield to grab all three points at Old Trafford.

"When I was in the United first team, Liverpool was the biggest game," Neville told Inside United. "The rivalry between the two teams was intense.

"Both clubs have great history and great success, which always made for some cracking matches. These are the games all the fans want to watch and all the players want to play in.

"This year, Liverpool have had a great season and it'll be a fantastic game but, as always, we'll be looking for maximum points."

David Moyes's United side are currently nine points adrift of a Champions League spot with 10 games left to play.
