Timothy Fosu-Mensah is included in the Netherlands' senior squad for the friendlies against Scotland and Romania after Lyon full-back Kenny Tete pulled out injured.

Crystal Palace defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah has been added to the Netherlands' squad for the upcoming friendlies against Scotland and Romania.

The 19-year-old, on loan at Selhurst Park from Manchester United, has been promoted from the Under-21s side as a replacement for injured Lyon right-back Kenny Tete.

Fosu-Mensah will provide squad depth for the trip to Pittodrie on Thursday evening, as well as the meeting with Romania in Bucharest five days later.

Kevin Diks of Feyenoord has been called up to the Under-21s side, meanwhile, as they prepare for a U21 Euro 2019 qualifier against Andorra.

United academy product Fosu-Mensah made his international bow for the Oranje national side against France in August.
