David Moyes: Nemanja Vidic "is fully committed"

Inter Milan-bound Nemanja Vidic "is fully committed" to Manchester United, according to his manager David Moyes.

Manchester United manager David Moyes has insisted that he would have no objection to playing Nemanja Vidic between now and the end of the season.

With his contract expiring in the summer, the United skipper exercised his right to discuss terms with European clubs and has since confirmed that he will join Inter Milan at the end of the season on a free transfer.

"He has had a brilliant career at Manchester United and in my short time working with him, I would say he's the best centre-half I've seen and worked with. But for both parties, I think this is the right decision," Moyes wrote in the matchday programme.

"We will give Vida all the respect he deserves because of the service he has given this club, and you will still see plenty of him before the end of the season.

"His training is good, he is fully committed, and I do not think anybody would ever expect him to give less than 100% when he crossed the white line."

Vidic, 32, has made 292 appearances for the Red Devils.
