Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has claimed that Liverpool deserve criticism for only registering two shots on target in the goalless draw between the two teams.
United were successful in nullifying a Liverpool side who had scored 18 goals from their previous seven league fixtures, but United received mixed reviews for their performance on Merseyside with Mourinho team's only having 35% of possession.
However, the Portuguese has suggested that he was happy with how his team played at Anfield and instead insisted that Liverpool should be criticised for failing to create more opportunities.
The 53-year-old told Sky Sports News: "That was the game that we played - we don't control the game by having the ball all the time.
"Two shots on target with 65% of possession. You have to be critical of Liverpool. It is their problem, not our problem."
United are next in domestic action when they make the trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on Sunday.
