Roberto Martinez has said that Wigan Athletic will be motivated to upset Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The Latics, who have secured back-to-back draws against Liverpool and Chelsea, are unbeaten in three games. However, in 13 meetings with Sir Alex Ferguson's side, the club hasn't once taken a point.
Nevertheless, Martinez insists that the club is happy to play the role of underdog on Monday afternoon.
"In the history of the football club we have never taken a point off Manchester United," he said. "Old Trafford can be an intimidating place to go.
"It happens around the world - if you go to San Siro, the Bernabeu or Barcelona's Nou Camp, sometimes in those games you are starting 1-0 down.
"I don't think anyone expects us to get a positive result at Old Trafford and that's something that can give us some extra motivation and test how much we can surprise Manchester United at their own ground."
Martinez's men are currently in the relegation zone, one point adrift of safety.
