Russell Martin: 'We were unlucky to get nothing'

Norwich City defender Russell Martin believes that his side were unfortunate not to take anything out of their game with Manchester United on Saturday.

Norwich City defender Russell Martin believes that his side were unlucky not to get anything out of their clash with Manchester United on Saturday.

The Canaries had a number of first-half chances but could not find a way past David de Gea in the United goal, allowing David Moyes's side to sneak the win as Danny Welbeck netted in the 57th minute.

"It is extremely difficult to take because, if you analyse the game, they did not create too much and the goal we have given away was very poor," he told reporters.

"We should have had a couple ourselves, and it is a problem we have not quite got right yet because we are not scoring enough goals.

"We just need to be a bit more clinical in the final third - we have created quite a bit, but it has not quite fallen for us. It is something we know we have to sort out and put right, and hopefully it will come."

Norwich are 14th in the Premier League on 19 points, just three clear of the relegation zone.
