Half-Time Report: Norwich City, Manchester United goalless

Norwich City and Manchester United go in goalless at Carrow Road at half time.

Norwich City and Manchester United are goalless at the break in their Premier League clash at Carrow Road.

The first chance of the game fell to United and came from a counter-attack. Ashley Young's cross was half cleared and fell to Shinji Kagawa, who tested John Ruddy down low with a drilled effort.

Norwich took a while to get into the game but when they did they should have gone in front on 18 minutes, as Russell Martin's initial shot was saved and fell to Wes Hoolahan, who had the ball nipped off his boot by a scrambling Nemanja Vidic.

The hosts were suddenly on top and worked David de Gea again a few minutes later, with Robert Snodgrass finding Gary Hooper, but the striker's shot was at a comfortable height for the United keeper.

There was time before the break for one more save from De Gea, but this time he was comfortably behind a Sebastian Bassong header from a corner.
