Jesse Lingard: 'Manchester United can cope with pressure in Upton Park swansong'

Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard insists that his side are fully focused on their own ambitions ahead of the final match at West Ham's Boleyn Ground.

Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard has insisted that his side will not get caught up in the emotion of the occasion when they face West Ham United in the final ever game at the Boleyn Ground.

The Hammers have played at Upton Park for 112 years, but Tuesday's match will be their last there before they move to the Olympic Stadium next season.

It is expected to be an emotional occasion in the capital, but Lingard is only focusing on getting a victory that would lift his side up to fourth in the Premier League table.

"These are the games as a player you want to play in, the big-pressure games. We're ready. We've been training hard," he told MUTV.

"Mentally, you've got to prepare for [the attention around Upton Park] and we know there will be a great atmosphere. But we won't let anything faze us on the day because we have a job to do which is to get the three points."

United, who host Bournemouth on the final day, know that victory in their last two matches of the campaign will ensure Champions League football next season.
