Unai Emery: Manchester City, Manchester United are Europa favourites

Unai Emery insists that Manchester City and Manchetser United are the favourites in the Europa League.

Unai Emery has said that Manchester City and Manchester United are the favourites to lift the Europa League trophy this season.

The Valencia boss, whose team take on PSV Eindhoven in the competition tonight, insists that Los Che can be considered little more than "aspirants" to go the distance as long as the big-spending Premier League duo are still involved.

"That is an adjective that is more befitting of us than favourites, because we have the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City in the competition," he said.

"We aspire to beat them, but calling ourselves favourites would be a step beyond that. We don't say this out of fear, but rather because of the large economic differences in our respective budgets."

Meanwhile, Valencia are in third place in La Liga with rivals Levante five points behind.
