Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho heaps praise on his players following their victory against West Ham United.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has declared that he is "happy" with his side's performance and efficiency in front of goal during their 4-1 win over West Ham United.

The Red Devils booked their place in the semi-finals of the League Cup with a dominant second-half display against the Hammers, and the Portuguese coach was quick to praise his players for their attacking football.

"The performance is something we are used to, we are playing very well at home. Today was more of the same," he told Sky Sports News.

"After the West Ham goal we had 10 minutes where we felt it deeply. West Ham's first shot, they equalise. But in the second half we got the confidence to play and play beautiful, attacking football.

"I told them at half time it is not possible to play so well and because of a goal stop to play so well. I told them to forget about the undeserved goal, we are playing so well, we have to keep the confidence and lets go on with it. Goals plus performance means the real happiness."

United will take on Hull City over two legs in January's semi-finals.
