United will again be without Marcos Rojo and Phil Jones through injury, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Scott McTominay are both doubts for the clash at the King Power Stadium.
Wan-Bissaka and McTominay both missed out against Everton on Wednesday due to the issues that they picked up against Leeds last weekend, but the pair are in contention for returns on Saturday.
Solskjaer will definitely make changes from the side that lined up in the EFL Cup, with David de Gea, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, Fred, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial all in line to return.
Mason Greenwood could edge out Daniel James to feature on the right, while Bruno Fernandes's importance means that the Portugal international cannot be rested for this fixture.
Edinson Cavani scored a brilliant goal against Everton but is likely to drop to the bench alongside the likes of Donny van de Beek, Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic.
Axel Tuanzebe could feature at right-back if Wan-Bissaka is unable to prove his fitness, but the indications are that the 23-year-old will be fit to take on the likes of Jamie Vardy and James Maddison.
