Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert will refuse to sell striker Christian Benteke to Manchester City in the summer, according to a report.
Benteke has enjoyed an excellent debut season in the Premier League, notching 13 goals in the top flight since his move from Genk in August.
The Mirror reports Roberto Mancini is eyeing the Belgian to bolster his attacking options for next season but they could face competition from Fiorentina.
Lambert is adamant that he will not sell his prized asset as he hopes to build his team around the 22-year-old.
