Manchester City will reportedly have to pay in excess of €50m (£45m) if they want to sign AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer during this summer's transfer window.
The 22-year-old only joined Milan from Empoli last summer and has been in impressive form for the Italian giants this season, making 25 appearances in all competitions.
City have been strongly linked with the Algeria international, while Real Madrid are also believed to be interested in his signature ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
According to Calciomercato, Milan are keen to keep hold of the central midfielder but would consider offers in excess of €50m (£45m).
Bennacer, who has a contract at San Siro until the summer of 2024, spent two years with Arsenal between 2015 and 2017 but only made one first-team appearance for the Gunners before moving on.
City are expected to be active in this summer's transfer window as they look to wrestle the Premier League title back from Liverpool during the 2020-21 campaign.
