Manchester City quoted over £20m for Jay Rodriguez?

Southampton are understood to want over £20m from Manchester City for striker Jay Rodriguez.

Manchester City have reportedly been told by Southampton that they will have to spend over £20m if they want to sign Jay Rodriguez.

The Premier League champions are understood to be monitoring the 25-year-old striker ahead of a possible summer move to the Etihad Stadium.

Rodriguez has been out of action since the start of the season because of a serious knee injury.

Despite concerns over his fitness, City will have to spend heavily if they want to lure the forward to the North-West, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with Rodriguez, who joined Southampton from Burnley in 2012.
